INGREDIENTS

Red Soya Beans – 1 Cup

Finely Cut Onions – ¼ Cup

Tamarind Extract – 1 ½ Tblsp

Salt – To Taste

Grated Jaggery – Very Little

Sambar Powder – 1 Tsp

Oil – For Frying

Mustard Seeds

Urad Dhal

Curry Leaves

Asafoetida

Grind Together:

Ginger – ½ inch

Green Chillies – 1

Grated Coconut – 1 Tblsp

METHOD

1. Soak beans overnight.

2. Pressure cook with the same water for 3 or 4 whistles.

3. Drain water and keep aside.

4. Heat oil in a fry pan. Add Mustard Seeds, Curry Leaves and Asafoetida.

5. Fry Onions till transparent.

6. Add Tamarind extract, salt, jaggery, ground ingredients, sambhar powder and then, cooked sundal.

7. Fry for few minutes and serve as a healthy snack.
