Everyone should learn how to make a delicious French toast breakfast. It's got your protein (with the egg), and carbohydrates (the bread), fat (the butter, yum) and sugar (maple syrup which makes it taste great).
This French toast is even good enough to eat without the syrup if you want, but I recommend it with the syrup. I have a sweet tooth!
Besides the bread, I think that the addition of vanilla really adds a little extra delicious flavor that can't be beat so don't leave it out.
Ingredients:
3 or 4 whole slices Oroweat Country Buttermilk Bread
3 eggs
1/2 to 1 tsp. vanilla extract
sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)
1 tsp. milk
1 to 2 Tbsp. real butter
real maple syrup
powdered sugar optional
Directions:
Slice your bread into rectangles. Use a fairly large bowl and add the eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon and whisk like crazy for at least 1 minute.
Place your pan over medium high heat. Add the butter to cover the entire bottom of the pan.
Once the butter starts to bubble (don't let it turn brown which means the heat is too high), place one to two pieces of bread in the egg mixture to soak for several seconds. Flip the bread over to soak on the second side.
Then place the bread into the frying pan. Continue soaking and placing the bread in the pan. Cook until the pieces are golden brown and then turn them over.
It's always a nice touch to heat your maple syrup and your plate (I forgot to show that) in the microwave so heat up. Putting your hot food on a cold plate makes the food cold sooner. A good cook likes to serve hot food hot if he/she can!
Serve and eat immediately!

After Thanksgiving, no one wants to make a big dinner. Throw together your favorite leftovers, cover them in mashed potatoes, and bake. Cottage pie.
Chop up leftover turkey and put it in a large pot.
Chop up leftover vegetables, such as brussels sprouts and cauliflower.
Thin your leftover gravy with a smidge of stock so it's pourable.
Pour that gravy over the turkey and vegetables.
Season with salt and pepper and stir it up.
When this is fully heated, put it into a casserole pan.
Cover with a layer of mashed potatoes.
Put it in a 450° oven.
Bake until the juices ooze and the top of the mashed potatoes are hot.
Put the oven on broil for a couple of moments and get the tops of the mashed potatoes browned.
Eat.

125g dried fruit of your choice
~100ml of rum (or liquor of your choice)

The third day of The Diabetic Experiment went great with incredible results and I'm so excited to see how the rest of these 27 days will turn out, thinking how fast result I got in only 3 days.
I didn't have a good photo of the soup, sorry for that but here are the recipes:
Tomato soup with zucchini:
Take 1 tomato (or as much as you feel you want)
Onion (1/4)
Garlic - 1 Clove
Hot water
1/2-1 Avocado if you like it little thicker and more creamy
Spice with basil, black pepper and himalaya or sea salt.
Blackberry Orange Smoothie:
1 cup orange juice (optional, I did the same but without juice today and it was great!)
Handful of blackberries
3 pieces of Broccoli
1 lettuce leaf
1/2 lemon
Mashed flaxseed
Water
Veggie bowl:
1/2 Avocado in pieces
5cm of cucumber in slices
1/2 - 1 tomato in slices
Pesto (home made and raw is best, recipe on that you can find on the website)
Olive oil
Basil
Black pepper
Salt
Pieces of 1/4 onion

Me and Charlie walked back into the school, heading to the lunch room. "I'll talk to you later, okay?" I told her as we parted our separate ways. I sat down with the boys, and they were already almost finished eating. Were we gone that long? I mean we just went to the park to chill. We both haven't been on the swings in ages! "Where were you mister?" Khalil asked me. I swear, he's such a character. "None of your business" I said taking a tator tot off of Justin's plate. I mean I would tell them, but Twist is at the table too. And we all know how awkward that would be.
"Don't front like we didn't just see you and Charlie walk in together" Khalil kept pushing the subject. "We went to the park, is it that big of a deal?" I asked. "ooo How you feel Twist!" Khalil said nudging Twist's shoulder. "How many times do I have to say me and Charlie are done..." Twist responded. "So If Digg went with her, you wouldn't care?" Khalil asked. I just wish this conversation was over. "You don't go out with one of your homies ex's. Digg knows that.." Twist responded. I do know that? Not to be rude or anything but Twist said he's done with Charlie. If me and her were to go out, then that's none of my concern how he feels. I don't care if its a rule or not. Twist is the homie, even like a brother. But that's not my fault if he messed up with Charlie, and I could make it right...

Justin's Pov
"Hinduism is a very important religion in India, and even some parts of China.." Bianca went on and on about World History. "Buddhism is very important in India as well.." She continued. I kinda of blacked out by the time we got to the 3rd chapter. "Justin? Justin?" Bianca said shaking me. "Huh? Sorry, I kinda zoned out. This stuff is super boring..." I admitted. "I actually agree with you on that one..." She responded. "Wanna go downstairs, get study break snack?" I asked, and before I knew it she was on her way down the steps.
"Cheetahs are very different from tigers Justin!" Bianca laughed as she took a sip of her Coke. "No they're not! They're both fast! Only difference is that one has spots, and the other has stripes!" I pleaded. all Bianca did was laugh, "I can't with you!" She said. Our laughing died down, as the sun did too. I could see Bianca looking kind of nervous. "Something wrong?" I asked her. "Can I ask you something Justin?" She said. "Like..?" I asked, sitting up a little bit. "Justin, what am I to you?" She asked. I knew this question was coming one day, I just didn't think that it would be this day. "What are you talking about?" I asked, confused. I needed to avoid this subject, as swiftly as possible.
"Well then lets talk about something else.." she said shutting her history book. "Like..?" I asked, sitting up a little bit. "Justin, what am I to you?" She asked me. I knew this question was coming soon, I just didn't think that she would mention something like that today. "What are you talking about?" I asked, confused. I needed to stall, so I could avoid this subject. And hear me out for a second. What am I supposed to say to a question like that? 'Oh your one of my best friends right now, but I would love it if you were my girlfriend!' You don't just say type of shit like that out of nowhere. "You know what I'm talking about....Cut the bullshit." Bianca responded. I wided my eyes a little. Never thought I'd hear the day Bianca curse. That must mean she's serious..
"Maybe we should skip to chapter 7, I hear there are great Indian recipes!" I said standing up, about to go upstairs. Bianca stood up as well. "Listen Justin, I just don't want to be played with anymore.." She said with a anxious face. "I know, I know..." I said. "Than what am I to you?" She asked once again. I took a long sigh without saying anything. It was silent for a while. I know you guys are hating me right now. But what am I supposed to say!? She came with this shit all out of nowhere! "Fine Justin, I understand. You just want to be friends...Go be with your beloved Tiffany. I'm sure her ass is waiting for you anyways..." She said heading to the door. Before I knew it she was gone. Fuck my life man....

80 oz. raspberries (frozen or fresh)
8 oz. frozen strawberries (thawed)
8 oz. frozen cherries (thawed)
2 cups white wine (Pinot Gris/Grigio, preferably from Europe/Old World)
1 1/2 cup water
1/2 tablespoon nutmeg
1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
1 1/2 cup sugar
Whipped Cream:
16 oz. heavy whipping cream
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup powered sugar
Roasted Pheasant with Jewel Colored Jellies (

1 small roasting chicken or pheasant
1/4 cup butter
2 tablespoons dried herbs (thyme and parsley work well, or you can use a generic poultry seasoning)
onions and carrots (enough to make a single layer in the bottom of your baking dish)
Jellies:
1.5 cups juice (cranberry, orange, tomato, pomegranate, grape, etc)
1 packet of gelatin
(to add extra flavor to the tomato jelly, I added a splash of red wine vinegar, a splash of lemon juice, and some Italian herb blend)

Gluten Free Bread Classic Thanksgiving Stuffing
The video shows the Gluten Free preparation, but the Whole Wheat was made just the same, accept recipe was doubled.
Stuffing/Dressing Gluten Free OR Whole Wheat
1 loaf of bread cubed, dried
1 stick of butter (1/2 cup melted)
1.5 Cups onion finely chopped
1.5 Cups celery finely chopped
1 quart (or less) chicken/rabbit or vegetable stock
1/4 - 1/2 tsp.salt
Start with 1/2 tsp. of the following, then add to taste.
pepper
sage
poultry seasoning
Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl, set in a cool place for 2-3 hours to allow the flavors to incorporate and the bread to soak up the stock and butter. After 2-3 hours check moisture level and add more stock accordingly, the stuffing should be like a soggy sponge but not dripping. Let sit another hour after adding more stock and seasonings. Check again, adjust stock and seasonings. Bake 320* oven for 2-2.5 hours uncovered. Stirring every 30 minutes. Taste along the way.

Sugar Syrup Recipe - A Vintage Quickie
A quick sugar syrup used to sweeten cold drinks or replace agave syrup. Different concentrations of sugar and water can be used for all sorts of recipes, some of which I've described below.
Ingredients:
3 cups of liquid and one cup of sugar. Use this as a cake glaze. You can use fruit juice
to replace some of the water. Leave your cake in the tin after cooking, poke some holes in the top and pour the glaze over. Leave to cool before removing the cake.
2 cups of water and 1 cup of sugar for sweetening cold drinks. No more sugar crystals
in the bottom of your glass!
1 cup of water to 1 cup of sugar. This is used as the basis for cold fruit drinks and
cocktails. You can also use it as the first concentration of syrup to make candied fruits.

Ok this is the break down, All Organic if possible
2 cups pumpkin puree
Green onion to taste
1 big carrot
garlic to tast
cayenne pepper to tast
Anaheim pepper flakes to taste
yellow onion to taste
2 tbs coconut oil
1 cup mixed wild rice
1 & 1/2 cup water
1 & 1/2 cup so delicious coconut milk
Add coconut oil to pan & heat, then sate yellow onion, & garlic after a few min add carrot
Add puree, water & coconut milk (unsweetened)
Add rice
Bring to boil, then simmer for 25 to 35 min!
It made me about 5 to 6 lunches!!!

I learned this recipe while taking Alissa Cohen's raw food chef certification course several years ago. It is still my favorite raw food soup recipe of all time! It's simple, delicious and filling. I love eating it for dinner, even on cold night:)
Raw Creamy Broccoli Soup
3 cups filtered water
1 cup almonds
1 teaspoon agave nectar
2 cups broccoli
1 avocado
1/2-1 glove garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon onion
1-1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
In a blender, blend the water, almonds and agave nectar until smooth. Add the remainder of the ingredients and blend until creamy. Dig In!
