Thattai is a Crispy thin Indian Savory and one of the important dish made during festivals specially during Diwali.
Savory Cracker /Thattai
Ingredients
All purpose flour (Maida) - 1 cup
Roasted Semolina - 1/4 cup
Dried Fenugreek leaves (Kasuri Methi) - 1 tbsp
Peppercorns- 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder a pinch
Salt to taste
Warm Water for Mixing dough
A little All purpose flour dusting
Oil for frying
METHOD:
1. To a cup of Maida add a pinch of salt, roasted semolina, peppercorns, a pinch of turmeric powder and mix well with warm water and add little oil.
2. Take some dough and roll them flat with small holes (make them with fork) and fry them in hot
oil.
