This is the easiest way I found to make good homemade Gesso.
I modified many recipes I've tried so far, and this is the only one that makes the perfect Gesso, to prep the pages for coloring as well as texture paste. The most important part of this recipe is baking soda. Do not replace baking soda with baby powder, it will not give the same results. Baking soda reacts with all the ingredients and makes the texture rise, turning gesso into perfect modeling paste to add to your art. Baby powder will just make it flat.
