Easy Meatloaf Recipe - How To Make Meatloaf

Meatloaf is the ultimate comfort food.  Joanne Hoff for the Kraft Kitchens shares tips on how to make a moist and flavorful meatloaf.

Ingredients:

2 lb. lean ground beef

1 pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken

1 cup water

2 eggs, beaten

12 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce, divided "

Directions:

"prep time:10 min

total time: 1 hr 10 min

Servings: 8

1. HEAT oven to 375°F.

2. PLACE meat, stuffing mix, water, eggs and 14 cup barbecue sauce in bowl.

3. MIX just until blended

4. SHAPE into loaf in 13x9-inch baking dish.

5. TOP with remaining barbecue sauce. Bake 1 hour or until done (160ºF).

Tips

- To double your recipe, mix meat mixture as directed, doubling all ingredients. Shape into 2 loaves. Place, side-by-side, in 13x9-inch baking dish. Bake at 375°F for 1 hour 25 min. or until done. Refrigerate leftover meatloaf; use to make sandwiches.

- Place all ingredients except 14 cup barbecue sauce in gallon-size resealable plastic bag. Remove excess air from bag; seal bag and squeeze until ingredients are evenly mixed. Shape meat mixture into loaf in bag. Transfer loaf from bag to baking dish; brush with remaining barbecue sauce. Bake as directed.

- Substitute ground pork or veal for the ground beef andor ketchup for the barbecue sauce.

Watch as Nikki makes a delicious skirt steak and fruit salsa using A1 steak sauce and Kraft dressing. This recipe is a tasty combination of sweet and heat!

what you need

1/4 cup A.1. Original Steak Sauce

1 tsp. minced garlic

1/3 cup capers, divided

1 beef skirt steak (1-1/2 lb.), cut into 6 pieces

1-1/2 cups chopped watermelon

1/2 cup chopped fresh peaches

1/4 cup finely chopped seeded jalapeño peppers

1/4 cup chopped cilantro

1/4 cup KRAFT Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing

BLEND steak sauce, garlic and 1/4 cup capers in blender until smooth; pour over steaks in shallow dish. Turn steaks over to coat both sides of each. Refrigerate 30 min. to marinate.

HEAT grill to medium heat. Grill steaks 6 min. or until medium doneness, turning after 3 min. Meanwhile, combine remaining capers with remaining ingredients.

SERVE steaks topped with fruit salsa.

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 jalepeno peppers, chopped finely

1 green pepper

1/2 tsp salt

1 1/2 tsp chili powder

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp thyme leaves

1 tsp cumin

1/3 cup pure honey IF you are the kind of vegan that swings that way. If you aren't, just add some more cinnamon to taste

Olive oil to brown the garlic (maybe a tablespoon, tops?)

The McChicken is a chicken sandwich sold by the international fast-food chain McDonald's in several countries. The sandwich consists of a toasted wheat bun, a breaded chicken breast meat patty, shredded lettuce, and mayonnaise.

History

The sandwich, originally introduced in 1980 by Andrew Clark and Justice Newcomb, proved to be a sales disappointment, and was later replaced with the highly successful Chicken McNuggets. Following the success of McNuggets, the McChicken was reintroduced in 1988. McDonald's removed the McChicken from its menus in the United States on September 26, 1996, and brought it back to its menus on March 22, 1998 due to overwhelming letters and petitions.

The current McChicken sandwich recipe is somewhat spicier than the original.[citation needed] Additionally, in the United States, the sandwich is somewhat smaller than it was previously, as it is now on the Dollar Menu, which offers various food products for the price of US$1.00.

The shaped chicken patty in the McChicken sandwich used to be 50% white meat and 50% dark meat.[citation needed] As of late 2007, McDonald's commenced advertising that the McChicken contains only 100% white meat.

Inside-Out Bacon Cheeseburgers

1 lb. ground beef

3 Tbsp. KRAFT Ranch Dressing, divided

4 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, cooked, crumbled

2 KRAFT Singles, cut into quarters

4 hamburger buns, lightly toasted

4 lettuce leaves

8 slices tomato

1. HEAT grill to medium heat.

2. MIX meat and 2 Tbsp. dressing; shape into 8 thin patties. Combine remaining dressing and bacon. Spoon onto centers of 4 patties; top with Singles quarters and remaining patties. Pinch edges together to seal.

3. GRILL 7 to 9 min. on each side or until burgers are done (160°F).

4. FILL buns with lettuce, burgers and tomatoes.

- Enjoy this summer favorite with a skewer of grilled vegetables.

Substitute

- Substitute 13 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack Cheese for the Singles.

Storing Ground Beef

- Store ground beef in the coldest part of the refrigerator for up to 2 days. (The refrigerator temperature should be no higher than 40°F.) For longer storage, wrap the meat tightly in foil or freezer-weight plastic wrap and store in the freezer. When thawing, place the meat on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator to prevent any drippings from cross-contaminating other foods.

1. SPREAD 14 cup ice cream onto flat side of each of 12 cookies. Cover with remaining cookies to make 12 sandwiches.

Mini Meatloaf Brains: The Walking Dead Inspired Halloween Recipe

Ingredients

19 oz meatloaf mix (ground beef & pork)

3 oz garlic croutons

ground black pepper

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp thyme

1/4 cup rough chopped onion

2 cloves garlic

3/4 tsp salt

1 egg

1/4 cup minced parsley

Glaze

1/2 cup ketchup

1 tsp ground cumin

dash worcestershire sauce

dash hot pepper sauce

1 tbsp honey

1 tsp apple cider vinegar

Directions

Heat oven to 325 degrees.

In a food processor add croutons, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and thyme. Pulse the mixture until combined and a fine texture. Pour this mixture into a large bowl.

In the same food processor combine onion, garlic, and parsley until it is finely chopped.

Add this vegetable mixture to the bowl with the bread crumb mixture. Add the meatloaf mix, the salt and egg to this bowl and mix using your hands until well combined.

Pack this mixture into small bread loaf pans or if making meatloafs into little brains, a small brain mold. Turn these molds out onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake the meatloafs for 45 minutes or until they are cooked throughout (be very sure of this since using pork). The temperature should be at least 160 degrees fahrenheit when the meat thermometer is inserted in the middle of the meatloafs.

In a small bowl combine the ketchup, cumin, worcestershire, hot pepper sauce, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Brush the glaze on the meatloafs after the meatloafs have been in the oven for 10 minutes.

The starter is a substitute for baking yeast and can be used to make many kinds of yeast-based breads, shared with friends, or frozen for future use. The sweet, cake-like Amish Cinnamon Bread is a common bread that is made from this starter; it is a simple, stirred quickbread that includes a substantial amount of sugar and vegetable oil, with a mild cinnamon flavor. It has characteristics of both pound cake and coffee cake. The flavor of the finished product can be altered by omitting cinnamon. A common recipe using this starter suggests using one cup of it to make bread, keeping one cup to start a new cycle, and giving the remaining three cups to friends. The process of sharing the starter makes it somewhat like a chain letter. One cup of starter makes one standard loaf of bread.

How to Make Sugar Cookies: Lollipop Sugar Cookies

Making your next batch of sugar cookies stand out has never been so fun easy! Professional creative chef Cricket Azima for the Betty Crocker kitchens demos two adorable and fun ideas to add flare to your next batch of sugar cookies. Don't forget to grab the kids for frosting the sugar cookies!

Recipes:

Lollipop Sugar Cookies

1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker® sugar cookie mix

13 cup butter or margarine, softened

2 tablespoons Gold Medal® all-purpose flour

1 egg

12 wooden sticks with rounded ends

1 container (1 lb) Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy frosting (any white variety)

Food colors in desired colors

Assorted candy decorations

1.Heat oven to 375°F. In medium bowl, stir cookie mix, butter, flour and egg until dough forms. Roll dough on floured surface until about 14 inch thick. Cut with 3-inch round cookie cutter. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Carefully insert a wooden stick into side of each cookie.

2.Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.

3. For cookie decorating, divide frosting among 4 small bowls. Tint frosting in 3 of the bowls with different color of food color. Reserve some of the tinted frostings for piping on designs. Frost cookies with remaining white and tinted frostings. For piping, place each tinted frosting in small resealable food-storage plastic bag; snip off tiny corner of bag. Pipe frostings on cookies in desired designs. Decorate with candy decorations.

Cinna-spin Cookies

Cookies

1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker® sugar cookie mix

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ cup butter or margarine, softened

1 egg, slightly beaten

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Glaze

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

¼ teaspoon vanilla

1. Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, mix cookie mix and 12 teaspoon cinnamon. Stir in butter and egg until soft dough forms.

2. On piece of waxed paper, shape 1 tablespoon cinnamon into a line about 5 inches long. Using floured fingers, shape 1 tablespoon of dough into a rope 5 inches long. Press one side of dough rope into cinnamon.

3. On ungreased cookie sheet, coil dough rope tightly, cinnamon side facing center, into cinnamon-roll shape. Press end of rope into roll to seal. Repeat with remaining dough. Place cookies 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.

4. Bake 7 to 10 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 15 minutes.

5.In small bowl, mix glaze ingredients until smooth. Drizzle over cookies.
